One of our greatest strengths…yet we rarely talk about it!
Enabling us to offer services at a level well beyond most regional accounting firms, YBM are extremely proud to be a member firm of the Walker Wayland Australasia network. This network connects independent firms who are driven by similar values. The network also has its own Foundation, through which over $205,000 was donated to charities in 2019, with this years’ totals still to be finalised.
Further, the network ranked 15th in the AFR’s 2020 Top 100 accounting firms! The enormous reach of these combined practices cannot be overlooked.
This network is made up of firms working together to share, learn and grow thereby enabling us (and our clients!) to draw upon an international network of expertise. For our clients, the greatest benefits of YBM’s involvement with Walker Wayland is probably the depth of experience and knowledge that can be accessed.
Regional group meetings, agriculture workshops and business advisory focus groups are just a few examples of the ways in which we collaborate for the benefit of our clients. There also exists a specific Health services group, providing specialist advice to medical specialists, pharmacists, dentists, physios and even vets.
Through Walker Wayland Australasia, we are able to access a number of services to meet the additional needs of clients. This includes auditing services for some of our largest business clients, as well as some less common services. Walker Wayland Climate Change is such a service, enabling access to experts to help clients plan for managing climate change issues, including risk and opportunity analysis and carbon assessment and management.
These partnerships obviously have enormous advantages for the development of our team members too. In addition to growing their own professional networks, Walker Wayland have tailored an MBA program, in conjunction with the University of Southern Queensland, offering further opportunities for the growth of our staff…with these skills ultimately then benefiting our clients!
